Why aren't you using the JustGiving website?
To use the JustGiving website the charity has to be registered with the
UK Charity Commission or recognised by HMRC. Because DNCC is registered in South
Africa so we are not able to use JustGiving, or any similiar websites.
How much of the money raised goes to DNCC?
All of the money raised goes to the DNCC. Neither the company nor the
competitors take any percentage or management fees. If any of the pledges are
paid using an online service (for example PayPal) we will get charged a small
percentage.
What will the money be spent on?
Most of the money raised for DNCC is spent on food and nutrition for the
children. Once the children have been fed, they are also provided with clothes
when needed, toys, games and educational equipment. Each Christmas the children
are also treated to a party, with food, presents and special treats. Last year
for example, all the children where taken for a day out at Johannesburg Zoo. For
